Motion made to dispense with the reading of the minutes. Motion voted on and passed.
Lodge Treasure’s Report
I couldn’t get a hold of the amount of money within the lodge, because accountant had an emergency.

Vice Chief of Committees
Elangomat Committee
The Elangomat Committee is looking for a new patch and t-shirt design.
Indian Affairs Committee
The IA is working on a drum team and is getting ready for the year. Looking for a new ceremonialist.
Trading Post Committee
We are doing fine. I will be meeting with Bill Irvin soon to discuss further improvements and changes to the trading post. Lots of pie charts.
Vigil Selections Committee
I am currently forming my committee for the year, so if each chapter would kindly send me or tell me the name of one person to be on my committee. This person should be a youth vigil or an ordeal or non-eligible brotherhood member. I am also accepting nominations at any time and the form is located on the website.
Activities Committee
Need members and an advisor. Also need some ideas for activities.
Publications Committee
The deadline for the Spring Torchbearer Articles and photos is March 18th.
Service Committee
We are getting projects ready for Ottari, as well as getting members.
Vice Chief of Chapters
Wil-Kip-Jo Chapter
At our January meeting we discussed our plans for the next fundraiser. We continued discussions on a service and prepared for 2009. Next meeting we will be training our new election team.
Tuscarora Chapter
We held our Winter Camporee at Camp Arthur Ware on January 23-25. It was a huge success. There was attendance from most troop in the district. One special event was a fly in from a National Guard Helicopter. A tricky event was the night orienteering course. A tap out was held in which we tapped eleven candidates.
Saura Chapter
We had a group of brothers go to the Statesville Indian Seminar. We will hold a chapter meeting next Sunday. Soon we will have a Chapter Indian Affairs meeting and we will be able to put our new pow-wow drum to use. We also will be helping with the district pinewood derby.
Moneton Chapter
Moneton has voted to make a new patch for the chapter. It is being handmade and is similar to the one we had several years ago. We are also going to send letters out to all of the Scoutmasters in the New River District, asking them for help with dues collection and OA reps. We have decided that we would like to do a large service project this year and we are considering the Ottari chapel. At the New River Klondike Derby we raised $125 by selling donuts.
KooKooKuHoo Chapter
We have our chapter shirts in the printing process and they
should be in soon. We are also brainstorming new ways to get membership
retention. We plan to help out at this years Spring Camporee, as well as
helping set up for the
Catawba Chapter
We are already planning our next Webelos to Woods event. We are also creating a chapter t-shirt to show our chapter pride. Our unit elections kick-off this week, and we already have almost every election scheduled.

2009 Function Patch Design
Need to get ideas for a patch design before the next outing,
2009 Conclave Patch Design
Two designs. One based off of the t-shirt design, the other says “CONCLAVE” in very big letter, to stand out. The designs were discussed. Motion adopted to have two different patches, one being a delegated and the other being a trader. Motion made to have the Superman patch as the delegated patch, and the “CONCLAVE” patch as the trader. Motion discussed and voted against. Motion made to have the original Superman patch as the delegated patch. Motion seconded and adopted. Motion made to have the bizarre Superman patch as the trader patch. Motion seconded. Motion amended to be changed from “bizarro” to “steel.” New amended motion seconded. Motion discussed to have the colors to be silver with a black background. Everything that is red would be silver, and the yellow and blue would be black. Motion adopted.

New Business
New T-Shirt Design
Idea is to make a new t-shirt for other lodges to recognize us by. This planned design is based of the “Superman” logo. Motion made to sell a t-shirt to sell a t-shirt at Conclave with the said design. Motion seconded on and passed.
COC Report
We had twelve guys go. That is more that the host lodge. We had a good experience, and everything went well. We should be proud because of our brotherhood behavior.
Special Events CVC
We will have a lot of activities and CUPCAKES.
Conclave 2009
Conclave is very well organized. All of the events
will be closer together. We are using the NOAC rules for Conclave.
We will be participating in Volleyball, Frisbee, Tug of War, 5K Race,
OA Troop Visitations
Rawenok has done one troop visitations.
Conclave 2010 Discussion
We are hosting the 2010 Conclave. We need to start planning because we are about to run behind
GW,
Our date to work is April 4th. The project is in full swing. Shenandoah is going before us, so we do not know exactly what we are going to do. We need and Advisor. We also need to help Thomas Johnson, who is the coordinator for the event. Need a current physical form on file to go.
FOS
A part of Quality Lodge is to give to Friends of Scouting. Motion made to give $2,500 to FOS. Motion seconded and adopted.
Tapout Gift
Give an arrow to scouts after they were tapped out
Kook would like to make a motion to sell owl wash-off tattoos. Motion seconded and adopted
Catawba chapter would like to make a motion to make a t-shirt with a said design. Motion seconded and adopted.
Saura chapter would like to make a motion to sell drinks and snacks at the district pinewood derby.
