Welcome to the new 2010 Koo Koo Ku Hoo website!
The conclave workday scheduled for February 13 has been cancelled, and rescheduled to February 26-27.
We are looking forward to what will once again be Kook's best year. Hunter L. is our newly elected chapter chief, Steven B. is our chapter vice-chief, and Anthony Browning is our newly appointed chapter advisor. Our meetings are starting to fill up, and new members are continuing to return and participate.
On the lodge level, Mike Lewis, our most recent past-chapter-chief, is now the 2010 Tutelo Lodge Chief.
Please look around the site, and feel free to let me know if you have any problems or find any bugs. Keep checking back, and also at the Facebook group, for new updates.
From the Chief:
"Hello
Chapter, this is the Chief Hunter Layne and you are invited to come to Conclave
2010!
Our lodge will be hosting it this year and it will be the best Conclave yet! We
will be having many exciting games, great food, great training and did i mention
GREAT FUN! We need you to preregister by March 31st at
http://tutelo161.org/ and click on Conclave
2010 in the middle of the screen and fill out the information. We need you to
come, I have set a goal of 100 Kooks to come and there will be a GREAT surprise
if we bring 161! Though there is only one way this can happen you have to
preregister and come.
Also we will be having work weekends for Conclave on February 27th, March 6th
and a work weekend April 9th through the 11th which will be followed by an
important lodge meeting. We will be providing food on the 27th so we need to
know if you will be attending any of these days.
Also be active in the Chapter, pay your dues, come to the Chapter meetings (Fort
Hill United Methodist Church at 7:00 every second thursday of the month [yes
there will be one this thursday]) and come to the lodge meetings, we meet at the
council office in Roanoke every second sunday of the month.
Thank you and PREREGISTER (and come) to Conclave
In BrotherHood,
Chapter Chief Hunter Layne"
"My
name is Hunter Layne and I am the chapter chief for Koo Koo Ku Hoo chapter. This
year I am planning on making the chapter be even better. With the new upcoming
chapter advisor we can achieve a lot. I plan on topping last year’s strong
chapter form by increasing the numbers on what we do. I would like to at least
double last year’s amount of days of service strongly showing our brotherhood
for our lodge and chapter. I hope 2010 will be an amazing year for us all so
let’s show our Kook pride, wear your burnt orange and always show your
brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service!"
